Kashgar is on the furthest Western edge of China right next to the Pakistan border. It is full of Islam and looks anything but Chinese; it felt more like Afghanistan then anything else. The main ethnic group there is the Uygher people who speak their own language (turkish dialect), use arabic script for writing, and practice Islam.
